Why I’m Only Making 100 Paddles

(and Why You Should Act Fast)

After a brief pause due to personal circumstances, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news — This is your ONE and only chance to get your hands on a Norquay Co. paddle in 2025. To celebrate our 12th birthday, we’re offering 12% off  — don’t miss it!

The past two years have been a journey — full of deep change, quiet endings, and unexpected beginnings.

I've closed many doors. And some closed for me. A marriage. A dreamy A-frame cottage. I stepped away from university (after getting in at 40!) to return to a career I had once fallen out of love with — and somehow found my way back to, this time with a new sense of passion.

I moved across the country to the East Coast, where I discovered a new way of living — cold-water surfing, sunrise plunges with a seal in the Atlantic — and fell in love with the landscape, the rhythm, the people, and most of all, with myself.

And then, life shifted again. Another chapter ended, and I returned to Toronto — to a dad who had been given six months to live and beat the odds. Coming back was a reset — a chance to reflect, again, on what I truly want from life.

There’s been grief, a lot of it and there’s also been incredible healing: in community, in creativity, and in becoming a certified Breathwork and somatic movement facilitator (more on that soon).

Not everything has stuck. But what has — what remains — is what matters most. What’s left is clarity. A clearing. And so much gratitude — for life, and for the gifts we each hold.

This isn’t just another product drop. It’s a deeply meaningful return to the work I love. A lot has shifted — in life, and in business. I've taken time to reflect, to realign with what matters most to me, and to reimagine the path forward for the brand and for myself. This next chapter is about intention, creativity, and quality (in all aspects) — and I can't wait to get back in the studio.

So why 100 paddles?

Because this brand has always been about connection — with nature, with craft, and with you.
Because every paddle I make is a piece of art, 12 years after the first one left my hands.
BecauseLet the Outside In” isn’t just a tagline — it’s an invitation to slow down, to reconnect, and to bring more intention into our lives.
Because when I’m dancing in my studio, painting, and pouring love into each piece — I’m thinking about the homes, cabins, and adventures where these paddles will live.
Because I’m doing this drop solo — and limiting it to 100 paddles means each one gets the care and energy it deserves.
Because this small-batch, heart-led approach is how it all began — and it feels right to return to that now.

Every paddle will be made-to-order, and this will be the only time I’ll be making paddles in 2025. That’s right — no more paddles will be made this year!

Here’s the important stuff:

IF you’ve ever wanted one — for yourself, as a gift, or to mark a milestone
IF there’s a wedding, an anniversary, or a birthday coming up
IF you’ve had one of our paddles on your wishlist but never hit “buy”

... this is the moment.

With gratitude,

Natasha
